Make curtain measuring easy with our Measurement Finder! It guides you through each step smoothly, ensuring a hassle-free experience from start to finish.
Steps:
Step 1:
—Measure the Width (Determine Rod/Track Length and Placement)
If your curtain rod is already installed, measure its length and note the measurement.
If the rod isn't installed yet, first determine where you want it placed above and to the sides of your window frame.Â
Step 2:
—Understanding Default Fullness Settings
To avoid draperies appearing flat and stretched, it’s essential to consider adding fullness for proper coverage.
Pleated Styles:
Use 200-230% fabric fullness to create pleats, giving your draperies a rich, voluminous look:
2x Fullness: for pinch pleat, tailored pleat, inverted pleat, and goblet styles.
2.3x Fullness: for triple pleat and triple tailored pleat styles.
**No need to add extra width for fullness—it’s already integrated during the curtain processing.
Grommet Styles:
The default fullness is 1 (or 100%).
Use 1.5x-2x fabric fullness for final measured width.
Step 3:—Determine Drapery Finished Width and Length
Pleated:Â
Use "per pair width: 100 inches"Â &Â "window width 80 inches" as an example.
Then per panel width should be 50 inches.
Standard side tuck: 1.5-2 inches.
When draw the panel aside or the panel stacked, the standard length should be 10 inches (account for around 20% of panel width you order).
Grommet:
Use the panel (single panel width: 100 inches; width after folds: 50 inches) &Â "window width 80 inches"Â as an example.
When draw the panel aside or the panel stacked, the standard length should be 10 inches (account for around 20% of panel width after folds).
Determine Width
For Pleated Style, Single Panel Width = Rod Track Full Length / Panel QuantityÂ
For Grommet Style, Single Panel Width = (Rod Track Full Length x 200% fullness) / Panel Quantity
